Olympian Lyndsey Fry Gives Virtual Commencement to First TECCA Graduating Class

Lyndsey Fry was an Arizona Connections Academy student before she was a member of the United States women’s national ice hockey team, before she won a silver medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, and before she graduated from the College of the History of Science at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. As a former virtual school graduate, who better to inspire the first graduating class at TEC Connections Academy Commonwealth Virtual School (TECCA) with lessons learned throughout her life and studies.

Unable to attend in person, Lyndsey created her own video with humor and authenticity that delighted the graduates and all in attendance.



TECCA is a tuition-free, virtual school located in Massachusetts that serves students in grades K–12 and brings a fully accredited public education directly into the homes of students throughout the state.
