I am a junior at the University of Iowa currently majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Autonomous Systems and Robotics as well as minoring in Mathematics. Click the link below to watch my vlog about why I chose STEM, what I am passionate about, and things I do and am involved with as a STEM major in college!

Mary-Kate Wesley is currently a junior at the University of Iowa and will be completing her bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics in May 2022. She is originally from Indiana but now her family resides in Louisville, Kentucky. She is extremely passionate about Aerospace and plans to obtain her pilot’s license in the near future. In her free time, she loves to go running, going to coffee shops, and spending time with her family and friends. This is her first semester being a Pearson Campus Ambassador on her campus, and she absolutely loves it and is so grateful for the opportunity.

Do you have a compelling story or student success tips you’d like to see published on the Pearson Students blog?  If you are a college student and interested in writing for us – click here to pitch your idea and get started!
