Getting the Gift of Education
November is often a time when people share stories of gratitude and we think that’s great! For the next month the P.S. Blog will feature several Pearson Campus Ambassadors who are grateful for a variety of things: from family and friends to opportunities at their college. What are you grateful for?
Meredith Harrington is a finance major at the University of Kansas. She aspires to become a CEO of an international non-profit. Her favorite class right now is Supply Chain Management. For Thanksgiving, Meredith prefers the leftovers and says her favorite food is a leftover Thanksgiving sandwich with turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce. Here is what she’s grateful for:
I am so unbelievably thankful for my parents and my education. My parents have spent the last twenty years of their lives supporting me to chase any goal I set my sights on, and the biggest gift they have ever given me to do this is my education. They have constantly provided me with everything I could possibly need to succeed at school without having any other worries distracting me from excelling. This is the biggest opportunity I could ever ask for as I am given the luxury to focus solely on my future, and I could not be more grateful for the generosity and support from my parents that has allowed me to succeed.
