Gender Intelligence: Advancement of Women

Women in business meeting

“In the last twenty years, our world has made more progress on gender equality than in the past two hundred. This progress has been the direct result of three dominant strategies for gender diversity: eliminating workplace inequities, helping women more fully participate in a man’s world by adopting male styles of leadership and management, and making it easier for women to balance work and personal life.” This statement by Barbara Annis in her book Gender Intelligence: Breakthrough Strategies for Increasing Diversity and Improving Your Bottom Line, illustrates the progress women have made in the workplace.

As more organizations become aware of and embrace gender intelligence, increasing numbers of women are advancing into executive level positions, as well as more women at all levels are feeling more valued. To explore this concept further, we’ve created a four-part series with Barbara Annis, founding partner of the Gender Intelligence Group, and in this final installment she explains what organizations need to understand in order to embrace inclusiveness, how both genders can sustain change, and gives great examples of organizations who have embraced gender inclusive corporate cultures.
