Finding the Perfect Fit for College
November is often a time when people share stories of gratitude and we think that’s great! For the next month the P.S. Blog will feature several Pearson Campus Ambassadors who are grateful for a variety of things: from family and friends to opportunities at their college. What are you grateful for?
Taylor Bell is Communication Studies major at the University of North Texas (UNT). She hopes to have a career in Marketing, Social Media, and Public Relations. Currently, her favorite class is Rhetoric in Popular Culture. Her favorite holiday food is stuffing. Here is what she’s grateful for:
I am so grateful for where I decided to go to school. I grew up in an extremely small town, so the idea of coming to a university was terrifying to me. However, coming here really opened up my eyes to the different opportunities that I have to succeed. It may sound a bit cheesy, but I could not have chosen a place where I have felt more welcome and given more opportunities to succeed than at UNT in the communication studies department.
I have included a picture of myself with George Takei, who is an amazing activist and starred in the TV series Star Trek. I got to meet him during the Distinguished Lecture Series at UNT, and would not have had the opportunity to meet him if I wasn’t getting my education here.
