Digital Learning Technology Connects Students Around the World

Dale Garrard

Digital Learning Day is about sharing innovative practices in digital learning to help students. Technology can revolutionize the learning process for students by extending their learning outside of the classroom. Not only can they work collaboratively through virtual labs and classrooms, they can also share their experiences and learning in discussion boards, chat rooms, and blogs.

Students in Idaho’s West Ada School District are using technology to connect with other students in Japan. Teacher Dale Garrard explains how he infuses Japanese language and culture into the classroom using social media and digital strategies.
