Changing Things Up to Study Abroad

November is often a time when people share stories of gratitude and we think that’s great! For the next month the P.S. Blog will feature several Pearson Campus Ambassadors who are grateful for a variety of things: from family and friends to opportunities at their college. What are you grateful for?

Martina Laux is an Operations Management major at The Ohio State University. She would really love to work in the retail industry one day to combine her business knowledge with her love of clothing and accessories! Her favorite class right now is Dance Critique. She’s enjoying it since she is a Dance Minor. Her favorite holiday food is apple pie with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Here is what she’s grateful for:

I am most grateful for my study abroad experience that I went on this past summer. I interviewed for an unpaid internship through the business school at Ohio State and got the opportunity! Fortunately, my parents agreed to make the large financial commitment of letting me live in London, England for two months. I know that many peers of mine are unable to have opportunities like this, but spending a summer in a foreign country is an invaluable experience. I am blessed to have a family that is constantly pushing me to pursue my dreams, and my mom and dad are with me every step of the way!

Thank you in many different languages written on an open notebook
