New York, January 5, 2011 SuccessMaker, an adaptive digital learning environment for K-8 students, kicks off the New Year with another prestigious honor from the education community. The research-based curriculum program from Pearson, the education services and technology company, is a top product of 2010 as voted on by readers of “District Administration” magazine.
Particularly noteworthy because they are chosen by the tens of thousands of readers of the magazine, “District Administration’s” 2010 Reader’s Choice Awards focus on products that help districts maintain a high quality of instruction, offer new educational opportunities and, overall, do more with less in today’s tight economic times. More “District Administration” readers than ever before voted in this year’s competition.
“For SuccessMaker to be chosen by these top school administrators around the country who read ‘District Administration’ magazine is an immense honor,” said Bob Roliardi, president of Pearson Digital Learning. He added, “This award tells us that we are right in sync with what schools want and need in the area of integrated digital instruction and assessment programs. Moreover, these administrators are validating our commitment to developing personalized learning tools that allow schools and districts to leverage their resources to ensure that all students achieve their academic potential and succeed in school, college and careers.”
SuccessMaker provides elementary learners with a digitally driven, 21st century approach to learning that is singularly focused on the needs of each student by providing instruction, practice and assessment that is well-correlated to the new Common Core State Standards for both mathematics and language arts, as well as to individual state standards at all grade levels of the program. Used in conjunction with a school’s core reading or math program, SuccessMaker accommodates learners with a wide range of needs, including students with learning disabilities, gifted students, at-risk students and English language learners. The program’s unique instructional design takes individualized learning to the next level, putting students on the learning track that best meets their individual needs – rather than a “one size fits all” approach.
This is SuccessMaker’s second recent recognition from the education community. Just last month, the digital learning environment was honored with “Tech & Learning” magazine’s Award of Excellence. SuccessMaker qualifies for federal funding in the categories of Title I, 21st Century, Title III, Title V, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT), School Improvement Grants and Investing in Innovation (i3) funds.
