Software boosts students’ Spanish grades at Lehigh Carbon Community College, professor says

Charles H. Molano, a professor at Lehigh Carbon Community College, noticed the change almost immediately.

Students’ performance in his Spanish courses improved after he began using MySpanishLab, online learning software from Pearson.

That was three years ago and, back then, he had only anecdotal evidence. Today, a comparison of students’ grades from before and after the software’s introduction proves what Molano already knew.
Grades are up 17 percent, and MySpanishLab is the reason, he said. “I like it. The students like it.”
