Pearson Offers $1,000 Scholarships for Allied Health Students Boston, MA (PRWEB) October 14, 2008 -- College students who are pursuing careers in the allied health professions are invited to apply for $1,000 scholarships from Benjamin Cummings, an imprint of Pearson. The Pearson Benjamin Cummings Allied Health Student Scholarship program will award five students with scholarships toward their continuing education for sharing their experiences overcoming tough topics in an allied health course or lab. The scholarship program is open to all college students currently enrolled in an anatomy, physiology or microbiology course. Students are also eligible if they have successfully completed one of these courses within the past two years. To apply, students must complete an application and write a brief essay about either the most difficult topic encountered in their allied health studies and how they met the challenge; or about the lecture or lab that most effectively helped them master a concept and how it affected their interest in the subject as a result. Application packets must be postmarked by Saturday, November 1, 2008. Additional information, including a downloadable application, is available at www.pearsonhighered.com/scholarships/alliedhealth.
