Pearson Wins Top Honors at 2007 Chicago Book & Media Show New enVisionMATH Program Recognized with 3 Prestigious Award Glenview, IL– November 19, 2007 – Pearson’s innovative 2007 elementary school mathematics program, enVisionMATH, won three prestigious awards at the recent 2007 Chicago Book & Media Show. The annual event honors excellence in the planning, supervision, and execution of the physical and visual aspects of publishing media. The math program received two Crystal Book Awards of Excellence for School Publishing: one for cover design and the other for the program’s four-color internal layout. Pearson’s enVisionMATH also won the coveted People’s Choice Award, which is voted on by show attendees. Pearson School’s Mathematics Director Cathie Dillender said, “This is a tremendous honor for our design team. The enVisionMATH program was an enormous undertaking and our team’s talent truly shines in the finished product. This recognition by the Chicago Book Clinic as well as from our peers who voted for the People’s Choice Award, will serve as a great inspiration to our team to continue their important work.” “I congratulate the design team at Pearson for the enVisionMATH program; it is truly a winner, and also for your second consecutive People’s Choice Award,” said Jen Thomas, president, Chicago Book Clinic. “I would also like to thank everyone at Pearson for their continued support and attendance at Chicago Book Clinic functions.” Another Pearson program recognized was Pearson’s Reading Street-My Sidewalks, as Honorable Mention, School Publishing, Ancillaries category.
