Pearson VUE Signs Exclusive Contract with Educational Resources, Inc. BLOOMINGTON, Minn., September 19, 2007 –Pearson VUE, the electronic certification and licensure testing business of Pearson, today announced it signed an exclusive contract with Educational Resources, Inc. (ERI) to begin computer-based test delivery of their Nurse Entrance Test (NET). Beginning late October 2007, the NET will be delivered in Pearson VUE-owned and -operated Pearson Professional Centers in the state of Connecticut, with plans to be administered nationwide in the near future. Since 1963, Educational Resources, Inc. (ERI) has been recognized for its development of quality diagnostic assessments and other products for nursing education, including the NET (Nurse Entrance Test). The NET evaluates the knowledge and skills necessary for nursing students to complete academic courses within a nursing program, including mathematics, reading and study skills, and is a proven tool for effective prediction of overall success in nursing education programs. “Educational Resources, Inc. is delighted to work with Pearson VUE and its Pearson Professional Centers, which have such a presence, not only in the United States, but in foreign countries where Educational Resources, Inc. sells its testing products,” explained Dr. Michael Frost, President of Educational Resources, Inc. “We are excited to welcome ERI and its candidates to the Pearson VUE test center network,” said Robert Whelan, president, Pearson VUE. “By taking the NET exam in a Pearson Professional Center, we are confident ERI candidates will receive the highest level of service and the high quality, professional testing experience they require.”
