BLOOMINGTON,Minn .–September 12, 2007-Pearson announced today that the Ministry of Education-Malaysia is providing its schools with the company’s iNSIGHT™ optical mark read (OMR) scanners to support student data collection activities. The southeast Asian country is purchasing 1,240 of the desktop scanners for its primary and secondary schools.

Two built-in read modes allow educators to scan both pencil and pen marked responses from the same scanner, allowing them to use the same scanner for tests, surveys and other data.
