Educational Software Available in English and Spanish Versions

Upper Saddle River, NJ - June 20, 2005 -- eTools, Pearson Education’s suite of interactive math learning resources for grades K-6, helps English- and Spanish-speaking students to investigate and understand a variety of math concepts.

Created in conjunction with Scott Foresman-Addison Wesley Mathematics and Matemáticas programs, eTools can be used by students and teachers to model textbook examples, but also works as a standalone application. eTools offers assistance in subjects including place-value blocks, counters, money, time, fractions, probability, spreadsheets/data/graphers, geometry shapes and geometry drawing.

Descriptions for all of eTools’ features, as well as step-by-step instructions for all of its capabilities, can be displayed in English or in Spanish.

"eTools’ comprehensive bilingual capability and interface not only help Spanish-speaking students learn important math concepts, but provide a unique way of introducing these students and their parents to computer terminology," said Paul McFall, President, Pearson Scott Foresman. "Parents, teachers and students can use it together to help cross the digital divide."

eTools is available as a CD-ROM or online at www.sfsuccessnet.com (requires subscription).
