New Books Align to Cisco Systems Adaptive Security Appliance Product Suite

Indianapolis, IN - May 3, 2005 -- Cisco Press offers the first and only titles available that cover the new Cisco Systems® ASA 5500 Series Adaptive Security Appliance product family. Cisco announced the new ASA product during the keynote speech of Cisco CEO John Chambers at NetWorld+Interop.

The Cisco ASA 5500 Series controls network and application traffic, delivers flexible Virtual Private Network (VPN) connectivity, and reduces the overall deployment, operations costs and complexity that would otherwise be associated with this level of comprehensive security. A key component of the recently announced Adaptive Threat Defense phase of the Cisco Self-Defending Network (SDN) security strategy, the Cisco ASA 5500 Series includes the Cisco ASA 5510, Cisco ASA 5520, and Cisco ASA 5540 products. New security titles in 2005 from Cisco Press are the first books available that address the new ASA security product suite.
