Cisco Press Announces Products for CCNA 640-801, 811 and 821 Exams

Cisco Systems Publisher introduces Authorized Exam Preparation Materials

Indianapolis, IN - June 24, 2003 - Cisco Systems announced today the revision of the CCNA® certification with the 640-801 exam. Replacing CCNA 640-607, the new version includes changes in content and structure, including the introduction of an optional two-exam path to CCNA certification. With this announcement, Cisco Press introduces a line of CCNA self-study solutions with advancements in design and format to meet needs of candidates following either certification path.

The two paths to CCNA certification include the single CCNA 640-801 exam or two exams: INTRO 640-821 and ICND 640-811 exams. The second path splits CCNA topics into the INTRO (Introduction to Cisco Networking Technologies) and ICND (Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices) exams. The ICND exam also serves as the recertification exam for current CCNA-certified individuals.

Cisco Press has the self-study preparation materials for both testing options.

Cisco Press has developed the first authorized self-study materials available for the new exams. These titles incorporate proven self-study tools from the number-one selling CCNA 640-607 Exam Certification Guide with new learning features.

The new modular designs of the titles break concepts into easy-to-absorb segments. Cisco Press has created a discounted two-book bundle, CCNA Certification Library, containing two exam certification guides. Partnering with Cisco testing providers Pearson VUE and Prometric, Cisco Press included a USD $10 voucher good toward any CCNA exam in this bundle.

Cisco Press has incorporated into the Exam Certification Guides and Certification Library network simulation software, the NetSim for CCNA, Learning Edition, allowing readers to practice lab scenarios. Cisco Press has also built a new exam engine into Exam Certification Guides and Exam Practice Packs, allowing candidates to take sample INTRO, ICND, or CCNA exams.
