Cisco CallManager Fundamentals Title Honored at 2001 STC Competition

Indianapolis, IN - January 10, 2002 - Honored for excelling in the category of technical publications, the Cisco Press title Cisco CallManager Fundamentals: A Cisco AVVID Solution was presented with the Award of Merit from the Society for Technical Communications (STC) Lone Star Chapter at their 2001 annual competition.

Entries were judged by a panel of experts from the New York Metro Chapter of the STC. After presenting the awards, one evaluator referenced the Cisco Press title as "an excellent resource for readers at several levels of prior knowledge." Another judge praised the title by saying, "This book is a very detailed presentation of very complex technology. The authors have succeeded in breaking down the information into a logical sequence."

Awards were presented in a variety of different categories including technical publications, online books, print titles, and technical art. The Cisco Press title won the Award of Merit in the category of technical publications. Other companies also recognized in the same category include Cisco Systems, Dell Computer, American Airlines, and Siemens.

The STC is the world's largest professional organization for people involved in technical communication with more than 25,000 members. The Lone Star Chapter of the STC is one of the largest chapters in the U.S., drawing members from all over the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area.
