Austin, TX, January 12, 2011 – The Texas Education Agency has granted its first-ever state license for digitally-delivered instructional materials to Pearson’s A+RISE® Standards2Strategies™ (S2S) 9-12 program. The A+RISE® S2S is an easy-to-use online resource that provides high school content area teachers with strategies and tools to help them differentiate instruction and improve the student achievement of English learners, while addressing Texas’ English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS).
The license provides all Texas teachers in grades 9-12 with access to A+RISE® S2S through the state’s Project Share online learning community.
A+RISE® (Aligned Research-based Instructional Strategies for Educators) delivers practical, hands-on teaching strategies, tied to standards, and can be used in conjunction with a number of Pearson offerings, including training and consulting services, for all teachers who have English learners in their classrooms. Founded by nationally-recognized author and advocate Evelyn Arroyo, A+RISE® has supported thousands of educators nationwide in addressing the needs of their English learners. A+RISE® S2S is also available for grades K-8.
