Pearson Offers Higher Ed Options

Pearson (London and New York) continued its move to becoming a provider of educational services launching two higher education initiatives in August. The California State University, the largest system of senior higher education in the U.S. with 23 campuses and 427,000 students, selected Pearson to launch Cal State Online, a fully online program intended to increase access to higher education, particularly for non-traditional students who need more flexible learning opportunities. Pearson also is launching an initiative to deliver undergraduate degrees in the U.K. and has recruited a small cohort of students to begin studies this month.
