Las Vegas, January 7, 2010 — Pearson eCollege CEO Matt Leavy will discuss American competitiveness in higher education as part of a panel discussion during the HigherEd Tech Summit at the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

A High Tech Education for a High Tech World will focus on ways to improve the quality and effectiveness of higher education to ensure graduates are globally competitive. The panel will be moderated by Doug Lederman of Inside Higher Ed and, in addition to Matt Leavy, will include George Boggs, President and CEO of the American Association of Community Colleges; Christopher Cassirer, President of Capella University; and Robin Render, Vice Chancellor for IT & iNtegrate Project Direct at the Nevada System of Higher Education.

The HigherEd Tech Summit brings together educators, companies, policy makers and journalists to discuss the role of technology in 21st century teaching and learning.
