Denver, CO, August 12, 2010 – Pearson, a global leader in education, technology and services, today announced that Spectrum Pacific Learning Company (SPL), an affiliate of the National University System, has extended its agreement with Pearson eCollege for the next five years.
Under the agreement, the National University System will continue to use Pearson’s learning management system – Pearson LearningStudio – to power its online programs, with plans to expand its use of the technology to include on-campus programs. The National University System will continue to use Pearson LearningStudio’s Academic Enterprise Reporting suite to monitor and perform trend analysis of its online course offerings. Additionally, the National University System plans to begin using Pearson LearningStudio’s Learning Outcome Manager functionality to track student achievement of learning objectives in the classroom.
“The decision to renew our relationship with Pearson was simple,” said Cynthia Larson-Daugherty, President, Spectrum Pacific Learning Company, LLC. “In Pearson we have found a trusted educational partner with reliable technology and network security and a 24/7 helpdesk that ensures we have the resources necessary for a successful academic experience for our students, faculty and university system affiliates.”
