The Mendon School District has decided to take a plunge off a technological high dive. The big splash will come in August when the district embarks on a three-year pilot project that will transform the way Mendon students are educated. Pearson has agreed to work hand-in-hand with the district to design, develop, implement and support the “1:1″ venture. The company is assigning a team of consultants to work with Mendon school officials in setting up the system for a nominal fee of $3,000. The company isn’t charging more because “the idea is that at the end of the three years we will have a program that’s on its feet here, and they will have a product they can go out and market,” Superintendent Diane Robertson said.
