Huntsville students, teachers share thoughts on digital learning with visitors

Educators from across the nation listen to teachers and students talk about using new technology to teach and learn Tuesday afternoon at the Lee High/New Century Technology High campus. About 90 educators were in town to see the district’s Digital 1:1 Initiative firsthand. The site visit also gave those present an update on how the initiative has progressed since it was implemented last summer at the start of the school year. Wardynski, in grading the district’s proficiency, said it started the school year at about 70 percent proficiency on the laptops, iPads and digital curriculum. Stephanie Hyatt, an Advanced Placement English language teacher at Lee, said the digital curriculum through Pearson Education has “absolutely changed” the way she teaches.
