Huntsville schools are preparing for big change when students return in August. Superintendent Casey Wardynski says the school system is converting from paper to digital textbooks. The Huntsville Times says the district is collaborating with the Pearson Education group for this. All students will have either a laptop or tablet to support their learning. This transition would significantly lighten students’ loads, as well as bring down the cost of books. Teachers will begin getting the technology this summer.
