13th Annual Biology Leadership Community

March 4–6, 2016 | New Orleans | Loews New Orleans Hotel

Fostering innovation and excellence for general biology teachers

Pearson is proud to once again sponsor the Biology Leadership Community’s annual gathering devoted to fostering innovation and excellence in teaching general biology. The BLC is intended for professors teaching the biology course for science and pre-professional majors.

The BLC is an annual learning and sharing event devoted to innovation and excellence in teaching general biology to college science majors. Sponsored by Pearson Education, the BLC is held each year in March.

The BLC is a participatory community where we:

  • share ideas and innovations
  • present evidence
  • reveal challenges
  • discuss, debate, critique, and value teaching and learning
  • focus on learning
  • initiate, foster, and share collaborative projects

At the BLC you will:

  • meet and establish a supportive network of colleagues
  • explore new facets of the teaching and learning equation
  • meet the Pearson publishing team
  • leave the meeting with at least one new idea to put into practice with your students
