Pearson's Prentice Hall Professional Publishes The Official Ubuntu Server Book

Authorized Book on Ubuntu Server Authored by Kyle Rankin and Benjamin Mako Hill with Input from the Ubuntu Server Developer Team

NEW YORK, August 12, 2009–Prentice Hall Professional announced today publication of The Official Ubuntu Server Book, a pragmatic guide to managing servers that run on Ubuntu, a Linux-based operating system that has become an increasingly popular choice for data centers and businesses.

The book is authored by Kyle Rankin, a system architect for Quinstreet, Inc., and Benjamin Mako Hill, who was part of the founding Ubuntu team and serves on its Community Council governance board. Rankin will speak at OpenSource World 2009 in San Francisco. (http://www.linuxworldexpo.com/)

Rankin and Hill have organized the book so that it’s both accessible to beginners and valuable as a comprehensive resource for experienced system administrators.
